เรื่องย่อ
ขอต้อนรับสู่เกมภาคแยกของซีรีย์ RPG ชื่อดังอย่าง Dragon Quest ที่เรียกได้ว่าสายเกมเมอร์ทุกคนต้องเคยได้ยินชื่อนี้กันผ่านหูผ่านตามาบ้าง... โดยสำหรับภาคนี้ตัวเกมก็ได้เปลี่ยนรูปแบบจากเกมแนว RPG มาเป็นเกมออกสำรวจผจญภัยกึ่ง Open World ที่ได้บอกเล่าเรื่องของตัวละครเอกอย่าง Erik และ Mia สองพี่น้องที่มาจาก Dragon Quest XI ในช่วงวัยเยาว์ ที่ครั้งหนึ่งทั้งคู่ได้เลยหลุดไปอยู่ยังต่างโลก และต้องไปทำภารกิจรวบรวมสมบัติทั้ง 7 ชิ้นมา เพื่อที่จะได้ใช้ของพวกนี้มาเป็น ตั๋วเดินทางพาตัวเองกลับบ้าน ซึ่งจะว่าไปจริงๆ แล้วตัวเกมก็ได้รวบรวมเอาระบบต่างๆ จากหลายๆ เกมที่คิดว่าดีเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน แต่ทว่าดันกลับกลายเป็นว่าเหมือนยำรวมกันมาได้แบบไม่ค่อยเข้ากันเท่าไร ทำนองว่าออกจะดูขาดๆ เกินๆ ไปสักนิดสักหน่อยด้วยซ้ำ
